PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has declared his admiration for Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner continues to perform at the highest level at the age of 35.

Having made a name for himself at Manchester United, and then set all kinds of records at Real Madrid, he boasts 53 goals in 75 games for the Turin side.

Ronaldo has previously been liked with a mega-money move to Ligue 1 champions PSG and owner Al-Khelaifi’s latest comments will certainly please the Portuguese.

“Year after year, he shows a unique determination, and extraordinary strength of character,” Al-Khelaifi told France Football.

“He remains motivated by this desire to improve every day and he always pushes his limits. “I admire this relentless will; he is a great example for all athletes of the future.”

Al-Khelaifi has worked with some of the biggest names in world football since becoming president of the club in 2011. And when discussing his favorite signings he recalled the lasting impression former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic left on the club.

Thinking back to all the players who have joined us since the beginning of our ambition with PSG, I could still highlight the time of Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his character, his leadership, his charisma, and his ability to get things done,” Al-Khelaifi noted.

“He was always reliable, and when the situation demanded something from him, he knew how to stand up to the challenges of the moment.”

PSG have already been crowned champions of the 2019-20 season after the season was curtailed following the coronavirus outbreak.

Neymar and Co. sat 12 points clear of second-placed Marseille. As for Ronaldo, he returned to training on Tuesday morning following two weeks in quarantine.

Having spent the majority of lockdown in Madeira he has returned to Turin and had to follow government measures by self-isolating.
